Project Prima Volta exists because people choose to show up.

At the heart of this work is seeing and celebrating potential in young people, often before they see it themselves.

Our supporters include private donors who celebrate and encourage our developing singers and build lasting supportive relationships; business partners who champion our young people and our programmes; local community funders who understand how this work enriches the region; national funders who recognise its wider value; and volunteers who give their time, care, and energy to make everything run.

Our community partners are there at every significant moment, in the audience, on stage, and sometimes quietly making things happen behind the scenes.

Whether you give financially, share your time, or offer practical support, you help shape a world defined by care, high expectations, and belief in the power of singing to build confidence, wellbeing, and connection.

There are many ways to support Project Prima Volta.

GIVE

VOLUNTEER

Volunteers give their time, skills, and energy to make PPV possible. From rehearsal support and pastoral care to practical help behind the scenes, their contribution is felt at every stage of the programme.

Frimley Foundation

PARTNER

Our partners are people and organisations who commit to PPV with a long view, recognising what is missing as well as what is possible. They understand the wider benefits of this work for health equity, arts equity, and the development of human capability.

Having seen the PPV model in action, Sir Bill English, former Prime Minister of New Zealand reflected on the changing nature of work, and how programmes like PPV influence young lives.

As AI takes over more routine work, creativity will matter more, placing a premium on human skills such as imagination and new ways of solving problems.
— Sir Bill English, former Prime Minister of New Zealand

Sir Bill identified PPV as a practical and creative response to that gap: young people developing confidence, and building curiosity, communication, and problem-solving skills by learning to think on their feet in performance.

Our partners recognise that supporting PPV is not simply cultural patronage, but a thoughtful investment in the human capacities our communities will increasingly rely on.

Tasman Smith Trust

Private donors and philanthropic funders play a vital role in sustaining Project Prima Volta and keeping all our programmes free for participants. Some give once, others give over many years. All help create the conditions in which young people’s potential can be recognised and developed.
